**Fuel Filter Installation**

One of the most common fuel filters is a log-style utilizing a spring-loaded cartridge style filter.

It is very common for the filter to be installed backwards which will shut down fuel flow as RPM increases.

These filters flow from the outside in.

—and should be installed with the CLOSED end of the filter toward the fuel cell with the spring being at the CLOSED end.
