How Do You Drain Your Block?

Observe the photo above. When we refer to the plug in "block draining" the plug we are referring to has the red arrow pointing to it. This plug is located at the bottom center of the block just above the oil pan.
Factory plugs are 9/16" hex heads. The use of a 6-point socket will easily remove them. (There is a plug on each side of the block, and BOTH of them MUST be removed to completely drain the block.)
This is the ONLY way to empty the coolant from the block.
In some cases there may be some debris blocking the hole after the plug is removed. You may have to poke a screwdriver in the hole to clear the opening of this debris.
NOTE: Draining the block will only partially drain the radiator. THE RADIATOR SHOULD STILL BE DRAINED IN THE TRADITIONAL MANNER.
